The Willings have lived in the Netherlands at least since the 17th century. 

Originally the family name was Winnig (Winnink) & Wing. In 1811 our forefathers officially changed the name to Willing.

The Winnig/Winnik/Weinek/Winnink's were assumed to have come from the Jewish Quarter in the German town of Windecken, some 15km north of Frankfurt. See also: Map of Windecken
