This website, is about Willem Willing (1891), a journalist from Amersfoort, the Netherlands.
Willem was the father of two daughters, Hubertha Bernardine (1923) and Willy (1925).
On this website we will try to describe his life and his subsequent death death, on February 11 1944 in Auschwitz.
His diary starts with his arrest on 21 August 1943 in Amsterdam and finishes on his last day in Kamp Westerbork in the Netherlands prior to his deportation to Auschwitz.
This diary has been lost for many years but finally was published in 2005 and is currently being reprinted.
